Twenty-five Holy Cross Collegiate (HCC) students were off to Calgary on June 3 to take part in the 2014 South Central Zone junior high track and field meet.
“This year’s HCC junior high track and field Team was exceptionally hard working. We had many athletes come to all four practices each week,” said HCC’s Athletic Director Darren Perizzolo.
“This dedication showed as we had the highest number of athletes qualify for the South Central Zone Championship than any other year. We had a number of great performances, personal bests, and top five finished in individual events.”
For the Grade 7 girls triple jump Hannah Anderson placed fourth.
