Even though the new Standard Community Hall is built and dedicated with their grand opening in the spring of 2013, they still are doing their last bit of fundraising to complete the project.
“We have come such a long way with raising funds for the hall. Our whole community can be very proud at what we have accomplished. We have paid the loan down to just under $200,000. The fundraising committee continues to work diligently towards paying off the debt as soon as possible and hope that everyone will continue to support the fundraising projects,” said the Hall Board Committee.
Now that most farms are finished harvest or are near completion it’s time to celebrate once again. Friday, Oct. 4 the Hall Board will be bringing in The Rosebud River Valley Boys to entertain through story and song in concert. During the evening they will be holding an artisan raffle of three beautiful items that have been generously donated by the artists: a hand carved prairie falcon by Ron Bartholow, a hand blown glass bowl by Mark Gibeau and a quilt by Joyce Hussin.
Also during the evening the Husky Heritage Display will be unveiled to the public.
Any inquiries or to pre-purchase tickets for the event, can be made at Gates Agencies at (403) 644-3757.
