One dead following serious collision

One person is dead and two others were injured following a serious collision involving an SUV and a combine on Highway 842 south of Cluny on Aug. 20.
Gleichen RCMP responded to the collision at approximately 4:55 p.m., with EMS, fire crews and a Siksika Peace Officer also attending the scene.
The SUV was carrying three people. The driver was transported to a Calgary hospital with serious injuries, while the front passenger suffered minor injuries. The rear passenger, a 41-year-old Siksika First Nation resident, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the combine was not injured.
An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene as police investigate the circumstances and cause of the collision.
RCMP extended its condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
