Kunn, Nicholas (Nick) Steve 

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nicholas (Nick) Steve Kunn on April 2, 2026 at the age of 78 years in Strathmore, Alberta. Nicholas was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta on April 2, 1948.

Nicholas leaves his loving wife Gloria (nee Phillips); children, Marli (Greg), Stephen (Rebecca), Jasmine, Jillian and Joseph (Annie); grandchildren, James, McKenna, Olivia, Emmerson, Mason, Isla, Violet, Jaxon, Claire and Roman; sister, Donna (Jim). Nicholas also leaves his nephew, mother in law, sister in laws, brother in laws and their extended families. He was predeceased by his father Nicholas and mother Helen as well as his father in law James.

Nicholas worked as an electrician at the start of his career and evolved into Maintenance Management and Project Management roles within Alberta Health Services. Nicholas worked at the Didsbury Hospital, Carewest Fanning Centre, Foothills Hospital and Peter Lougheed Hospital taking tremendous care and pride in the many projects he led and saw through to completion.

Nicholas was happiest camping, fishing and boating on the Crowsnest and Bow Rivers. He loved to tie flies for fly fishing, build elaborate models of boats, photography and attend car shows. Later in life Nicholas loved to vacation in Mexico with his wife Gloria enjoying the sun, ocean and culture. His interests and talents were vast and varied.

May he rest in eternal peace, restored in body and spirit.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Strathmore Hospital who went out of their way to lend a helping hand, their support brought comfort and dignity during this difficult time.
