Busy summer leads to a busy fall

By David Bexte Member of Parliament Bow River Riding

It has been a busy summer across Bow River!

Over the past few months, I have attended rodeos, parades, community celebrations and agricultural events across the riding. I have visited local businesses and communities, and spoken with residents about what is working, what is not, and what you expect from your representative in Ottawa.

I appreciate every invitation and the warm welcome I have received across Bow River. There is always more to see and more people to meet, and I am already looking forward to another summer in the riding next year.

I value the conversations that come with these visits. Hearing directly from you about the issues affecting you and your communities helps me better represent Bow River in Parliament.

I have also continued working on my Bill, C-273, the FARM Act. I have been meeting with farmers and agricultural organizations to hear their feedback, discuss the bill and build support for giving Canadian farmers faster access to the tools they need.

This summer has given me more time at home. After a busy spring in Ottawa, I was glad to be back in southern Alberta, working on the farm and seeing familiar faces across the riding.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to stop and talk, share a concern or simply say hello this summer. When Parliament resumes this fall, I will take what I have heard from you back to Ottawa. I will continue to be a strong voice for Bow River, hold the government to account and demand the transparency Canadians deserve.

It is a privilege to represent you.
