Dale was born in Calgary and lived his life in Standard until moving to Strathmore in 2008. He owned and operated Nielsen Transport for many years hauling oil from wells to pipeline terminals.  During his retirement he spent many enjoyable days pursuing his woodworking hobby in his “new” shop.

During his younger years, he was involved in hockey and baseball. He loved golfing and enjoyed many yearly excursions with golfing buddies to Banff Springs Golf Course.  Dale and Betty were privileged to be able to travel during their retirement. For Dale, the best part of any trip was

always “coming home”!

A special thank you to Keith and Donna, Kathy, Murray and Julie, Tanis, Chantel, Pastor Brad, Pastor Dawn, and so many other family members and friends who have been there to help, comfort, and support in so many ways.

Thank you to all the Doctors, Nurses, and Support Staff at Sagewood Long Term Care Center, and Strathmore Hospital for their exceptional care! Thank you to all our Home Care Workers who were so wonderful when Dale was at home.
