One man arrested, police searching for others

Strathmore RCMP arrested and charged a man after an armed robbery at the Langdon Bottle Depot in Langdon, Alta. on Jan. 2.
At about 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 2, four males armed with a shotgun, handgun and a hammer committed an armed robbery at a Langdon business, stealing over $5,000. The suspects fled in a vehicle.
An investigation resulted in Strathmore RCMP arresting and charging one of the men, Kristopher Ronald Neergaard (49) of Mountain View County, Alta. Police are still searching for three other suspects and the vehicle used in the robbery.
Neergaard is facing 15 charges, including robbery with a firearm, disguised with intent, two counts of unlawful confinement, two counts of assault with a weapon. possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, two counts of pointing a firearm, use of a firearm while committing an offence, unauthorized possession of firearm, theft over $5,000, possession of stolen property of a value over $5,000, and two counts of fail to comply with release order.
Neergaard was remanded in custody following a judicial hearing and was scheduled to appear in Siksika Provincial Court on Jan. 16.
