Joyful Note Studio has only been in Strathmore a couple of months but are looking for anyone from a newborn to age five and their parents.
“I teach Kindermusik , they’re a music and movement class, from birth to age five. We do a lot of singing and it’s a lot of rhythm, just to help with developmental skills,” said Alexandrea Patzer, Joyful Note head instructor. “There is some literature to help with the cognitive abilities, motor skills and things that kids are transitioning through.”
Joyful Note Studio does not only offer Kindermusik, but other various musical lessons for youth.
“I also teach private voice and piano lessons, so the Joyful Notes Studio, it’s an umbrella for Kindermusik lessons,” said Patzer.
The lessons also provide the opportunity for kids and their parents to interact with one another in fun-filled setting.
“It’s a fun extracurricular activity for kids and especially for stay at home moms who are looking for something to do,” said Patzer. “I teach family classes for the Kindermusik, you can bring any of your kids (that) are five and under.”
She brought the program from Regina to Strathmore because she felt that there was a market here for kids to participate in these types of classes.
“There aren’t too many other classes like this offered in Strathmore and there isn’t specifically other Kindermusik teachers in the area, with nearest one being Calgary,” said Patzer.
Registration is ongoing and lessons will begin on March 4, which will be held at the Strathmore Alliance Church.
Patzer can be contacted at 306-535-1684 or by going on Joyful Notes Studio Facebook page.
