Helllllo Strathmore!

Times Reporter

My name’s Aryssah Stankevitsch, and I’ll be reporting for the Strathmore Times, concentrating on sports. This is my first big-girl, full-time, wear-slacks-and-a-dress shirt job and I’m so excited to join a wonderfully welcoming team.
I’m originally from Toronto, and went to Queen’s University for my degree in English, followed by a post-graduate broadcast journalism program at Seneca College/York University.
I was a little boy trapped inside (a very cute) girl’s body growing up; rather than playing with Barbies or Polly Pockets, I was outside kicking the soccer ball around or practicing my slapshot with friends.  Sports are my biggest passion in life, whether it be watching or playing or belligerently cheering. I hope you will see that passion in my pieces.
I’ve written about everything from football to volleyball to table tennis, and I look forward to covering all that Strathmore has to offer.
If you see a Toronto Maple Leafs license plate cover around town, it’s me. Say hi!
I’m happy to be here. Keep reading.
