Boob Tour and Strathmore a good fit

The Boob Tour is on its way to Strathmore. 

For the past three years the Strathmore Relay team, ‘Magical Moms’, have hosted this fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Foundation. Last year the Moms raised $5,000, which was donated through the Relay for Life. This went towards their total amount raised of $8,000. 

A small group of ladies from Drumheller started the relay in 2007, when a friend was diagnosed with cancer. In 2009, they brought the team to Strathmore. Over the years, the members in the group have changed, and this year’s members are Shelly Neal, Dawn Kalbhen, Patti Van Bavel, Amy Hampton and Dallas Stickel. 

“We have all been touched by cancer in some way or another and raise this money for so many different people and reasons.” explained Patti Van Bavel, one of the original Magical Mom members. 

The Boob Tour takes place on Friday, Nov. 8 at the Strathmore Civic Center. The doors open 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. There will be a cash bar, snacks, 50/50 and a silent auction.
