An open house celebration on Sept. 14, complete with clown, kicked off Strathmore Hand in Hand Parent Link Centre’s move to a new address.
The spacious facility at 421 2nd Street Strathmore (across from Paragon Pharmacy), will help staff safely provide services to the Wheatland area children and parents.
“We understand how hard the job of parenting can be and offer programs and resources to parents needing help,” said Rhonda Rhys-Doering, Parent Link Parent coach.
The program provides free childcare, programming for children six and under, resources referrals and information sessions for their parents. It is a great way for new moms to socialize and introduce their child to play with other children. There are drop-in play sessions, music and dance sessions, clinics and education programs. They are taking registrations for a Triple P seminar on Sept. 29 that gives great tips, giving parents the Power of Positive Parenting. Pick up the monthly schedule and stop for a chat with the staff. For more information or registration in the programs, talk to any of the staff at (403) 983-0076.
