Story, Allan Brent

 Story, Allan Brent

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Brent Story, who fought the fight but lost the
battle. Brent was born in Calgary, Alberta and raised on the family farm in Standard, Alberta. Brent was a gentle, kind, caring and good man with a free and adventurous spirit. He enjoyed traveling throughout his life and continued doing so with his wife Jennifer. Brent had a passion for the great outdoors and the West Coast in particular. He has worked the past 19 years at Crown Isle Golf Course, starting during the construction of the course and then in grounds maintenance and gardening.
Brent will be fondly remembered by all that knew him. He is in our hearts forever. Brent was predeceased by his parents: Verona Deirdre Mellsen Story and Kermit Krebs Story and his
brother-in-law Jimmy Jarrett. He is survived and will be dearly missed by his wife, best friend and soulmate, Jennifer; his step-children: Leah Hilt, Clint (Jessica) Hilt and Ross Hilt; his grandchildren: Dayton, Memphis and Xavier Hilt; brothers: Dwayne (Lucille) Story, Myron (Larry) Story and Brian (Wilma) Story; his nephews: Allan and Greg Story; his nieces: Justine and Brielle Story; his aunt Nadine (Don) Postlewaite; his mother-in-law Rosemary Jarrett; his brothers-in-law: Phil and Bill Jarrett; his sisters-in-law: Pat (Tom) O’Donnell, Heather (Patrick) Stanley, Rosie (Bruce) Howitt, Margie (Al) Jarrett and Mollie (Dave) White; other extended family and his very special friends and co-workers.
A special thank you to Dr. Blacklock, Dr. Reggler, Dr. Thomas and nurses (Jill and Coral) of St. Joseph’s Chemo Unit, also to Dr. Joe and Dr. Fitzgerald of the Victoria Cancer Clinic. Thank you to CV Hospice, CV Red Cross Medical Equipment Loan Service, VIHA Nurse and Home Support workers.
A Celebration of Brent’s Life will be held at Crown Isle Clubhouse Ballroom on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CV Red Cross, CV Hospice and/or the Canadian Cancer Society.
