REID, Joan (nee Scullion)

 

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful wife and mother, Joan Reid.  Joan is predeceased by her loving husband Jonathan Reid who passed away in December, 1983. Joan will be greatly missed by her children Terry (Rodney), Mandy (Terry), Jonathan (Marla), and Gail (Mike); grandchildren Colin, Gavin, Justin, Morgan, Aaron, Taylor, Megan, and Hunter; great grandchild Angel; sisters in Northern Ireland Margaret (Archie), and Frances (Stanley); and brother in Toronto Terry (Marie). Joan immigrated to Canada from Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1979 with her family.  After the passing of Jon she chose to reside and raise her family in Strathmore, Alberta. Joan passed away on August 7, 2010 at the Foothills Hospital.  We take comfort in knowing that Mom has been reunited with her husband and true love Jon.
