FORTIER, Betty Jean
September 23, 1924 – February 4, 2017

Betty Jean Fortier of Strathmore passed away peacefully at the Strathmore Hospital surrounded by her family and partner William May. Betty was born and raised in Magrath, Alberta. Betty found secretarial work in various offices throughout her working life. In 1944 she married Neil Billingsley. This union produced two children Diana and Sheri. Neil met an untimely death in 1952. In 1956 Betty married Melvin Fortier. This union produced two children, Dean and Melanie. He predeceased Betty in 1975. She leaves to mourn her devoted grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was much loved by every one that met her. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Strathmore Hospital for their kindness and care during Betty’s time there. A special Thank You to Dr. Fanning from the entire family.
