The Standard Municipal Library has some fun programming lined up for members for the month of February.
• Hope Bridges hosts a hand-built pottery class on Feb. 7 and Feb. 21 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. both nights. Cost is $40 for the two sessions. Contact Hope Bridges to register.
• Usual Monday programming takes place with tween and teen zone from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at which children 10 and older can play Wii games, and ping pong and foosball, among other activities.
• Tuesdays are movie matinee day at 3:30 p.m. Bring your own goodies or there is a concession available. At the end of the movie there will be a draw for a prize.
• Wednesday programming varies, and will include events such as “minute to win it,” “tween time,” “just cook it” and prize pictionary.
• Saturdays will play host to Wii and board games as well as story and craftivity.
• Coming in March or April, the library will be partnering with Wheatland Further Education, Community Learning to bring a Rhymes and Babies program. Families can meet once a week to play, sing, and have fun together with their infants and toddlers. The program provides parents and their children an enjoyable bonding experience that promotes singing and reading at home.
