A new perspective and active membership has energized the Strathmore & District Chamber of Commerce.
The Strathmore & District Chamber offers various activities for local business owners. For instance, on June 29, their Lunch and Learn speaker was Tracey Polowich from CONTIGO Business Services Inc.
According to chamber president Terri Kinsman, they had a diverse group attend from the business community and it was well received. They intend to have more speakers in upcoming months.
To make sure members are getting value for their membership, the chamber will be conducting one-on-one surveys to target what initiatives and services are valuable to the business community.
Most recently, the Town of Strathmore has asked the chamber to pick judges for the Strathmore Stampede & Heritage Days parade, and the chamber has agreed to once again resume that responsibility.
The chamber is holding their next Business After Five networking group on Aug. 17 at the Action Insurance office (second floor, 304 – 3rd Avenue) starting at 5:30 p.m. Action Insurance is celebrating their fifth anniversary in Strathmore.
The chamber is moving its office in August to a new location across from Rocky’s Bakery, at 129-2nd Avenue. There are nine offices in the renovated space sharing a common area and boardroom. A grand opening for the consortium is in the works.
