Langdon residents have once again come together after another fatal collision occurred near the hamlet only one month after a collision took the lives of two of their own.
Twenty one-year-old Katie Ditto lost her life on April 19 in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 797, south of Langdon. Strathmore RCMP were called to the scene around 11 p.m.
A candlelight vigil and balloon release were held on April 22 at the site of the crash to remember the life that was lost.
The driver of the other car was transported to hospital with serious injuries. Both drivers were the sole occupants of their vehicles. A GoFundMe page was set up to help Ditto’s family with financial support and so far has already raised over $16,000. Her funeral was held on April 25 at the Wheatland Funeral Home in Strathmore.
