Increase to the Langdon Peace

In accordance with Landgon’s ever growing population, a demand by the community has lead to a greater police presence in the area.
Community members approached their council representative about an increase in police presence after growing concerns for public safety.
“People have been asking me to slow speeders down so I brought it to the council,” said Rolly Ashdown, the councilor for the area.
“It was successful and the council gave a little bit more to the budget for policing.”
One peace officer car has been added to the rotation of the Rocky View area with a focus specifically on Langdon.
Ashdown said the patrol car will have no set routine and will appear on various days and times. He added that while community members may not physically see an increase in police presence they will see an increase in tickets. The officers will be cracking down on speeding and other traffic law violations and Ashdown warned for speeders to be more careful when driving.
“So really it is about adding more of a presence in Langdon,” Ashdown reaffirmed. “The force is Langdon is likely adequate but people would like to see more so the county is complying.”
