KLASSEN, John

July 24, 1915 – December 29, 2012

 

John passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at the Strathmore Hospital at the age of 97 years.  He was born in the Herbert area, Saskatchewan to parents Sara Klassen (nee Loewen) and John W. Klassen. John was predeceased by his parents and his wife Mary Klassen (nee Remple).  He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Susie (Reese) of Strathmore, AB, Jack (Irene) of Calgary, AB, and Ron (Moira) of Thailand; three grandchildren, Matthew (Marissa) of Strathmore, AB, Jocelynne (James) of Vulcan, AB and Julian of Duncan, BC.; sister Ann Wiebe; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and relatives.  The family would like to thank the staff at Strathmore Hospital for the excellent care and support they provided.  A celebration of John’s life was held on January 6, 2013 at Strathmore Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.  To send condolences, please visit www.wheatlandfuneralhome.ca.
