It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Loretta Anne Scott, on October 18, 2023 at the Strathmore Hospital at the age of 61 years.
Loretta is survived by her loving husband Cliff and her three sons Kevin (Karen), Trevor and Jody. She will be deeply missed by her sisters Caroline Beren (Barry), Joanne Balding (Robert), Tracy Taylor (George) and her brothers Jerry, and Henri (Elizabeth). As well as her brother-in-law Keith Scott (Shirley). She will also forever be in the hearts of her grandchildren, Cameron, Kiana, Kalea, Elizabeth, and Beau. Loretta also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Loretta is predeceased by her parents Gaston and Rachel Janssens, her in laws Doug, Beth and Mabel Scott as well as her sister-in-law Louise Scott.
Throughout high school, Loretta was always involved in team sports such as Basketball and Track in field. Loretta took her love for helping people to a level where she knew she was making a difference, she joined the Ambulance Service and became a first responder in the communities of Virden, Manitoba, Killarney, Manitoba and Boissevain, Manitoba. She also became involved in Scouts Canada and became a Beaver Leader. But her passion didn’t stop there as she began a career becoming a Health Care Aid with the Strathmore Acute Care and Extended Care while living in Strathmore, Alberta and her final years were spent living outside of Hussar, Alberta.
Though helping people was also her main focus, Loretta loved to be with her friends and family. She enjoyed camping, which always meant that she was on a quad. She loved to travel to new and exciting places.
Loretta will be missed by everyone who knew her, the people that she helped and the love that she gave to everyone who surrounded her.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring or Summer.
