After a long and full life, Peter Faryna passed away peacefully.  He is survived by children (Monnie Anderson and David Anderson, Allan Faryna and wife Sheila, Wade Faryna and wife Evelyn, and daughter in-law Karin Faryna), grandchildren (Jason Anderson, Meghan Anderson, and Kyle Faryna), and great grandchild (Trey Marquis).  Peter was pre-deceased by his wife of 65 years (Arloa Faryna nee Quennell) and his son (Craig Faryna).

Peter was the youngest of nine children to parents Anna and Fred Faryna.  Married in 1951, he and Arloa traveled the world and raised their family in Gleichen, Alberta.  After 37 years working with GSI, he retired then he and Arloa spent many of his retirement years between homes in Mesa Arizona and Gleichen Alberta.  A love of travel, camping, and enjoyment of family and friends is a legacy instilled within his family.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at the family home in Gleichen following a private family interment.  Feel free to drop by the house after 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 14, 2023, for an informal visit to share stories.  The gathering will be held outdoors, weather permitting.
