Erwin David Yule (Shep) of Gleichen, AB, passed away on August 20, 2022 at the age of 84 years. He was born in Calgary, AB, but grew up and worked the family farm in Gleichen, AB. He went on to purchase an acreage outside of Sterling, AB, where he ranched for many years.

Erwin was an active member of the Gleichen Lions and Gleichen Legion. He enjoyed refereeing hockey for 25 years. Anyone that had met Erwin for even a moment could see his love and passion for horses. Erwin is survived by his sister Shirley Yule (Shani); daughter Diana Rougeau (Ted); son Darryl Yule (Michelle); daughter-in-law Debbie Yule, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Erwin is predeceased by his parents David Yule and Winnie Green; sister Diana Yule; brother Harold Yule, and son Kevin Yule. A Funeral Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery), on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
