Maunsell-Wybrants, Fredrick Laurens

Maunsell-Wybrants,Fredrick Laurens

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Fredrick Laurens Maunsell-Wybrants on the evening of June 14, 2022, at the young age of 64. Fred passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loved ones after his courageous battle with cancer.

Fred is survived by his wife (Joni Merrills), his two daughters Kim (Trent Bodeux), and Ashley (Corey Hanna), and his grandchildren, Madison, Brodi, and Ryker.

Fred was born in Calgary, Alberta to George and Joyce Maunsell-Wybrants. He grew up following his father’s footsteps and began woodworking. He had his own woodworking shop in Strathmore, AB for over 20 years.

Many family and friends have pieces of Fred’s handiwork in their homes and will continue to treasure the memories of him.

Fred was a dedicated family man and was always there for game nights or just with a hug when his family needed it.  Every now and then he would tell a joke or say something silly to watch his family smile.

The family has requested a celebration of life to be held at his shop (on the Bodeux acreage) in honour of the amazing life he lived on Friday, June 24th between 1-6 pm. The family would like any donations to be made directly to the Wheatland & Area Hospice Society (www.wheatlandhospice.ca).
