BENCHARSKI, Joseph Phillip

BENCHARSKI,Joseph Phillip

Joseph Phillip Bencharski Jr “Gigi” passed away suddenly at his home in Strathmore, Alberta on September 1, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents Everdina and Joseph Bencharski Sr. He is remembered and greatly missed by his daughters Charlotte (Chopper) and Michelle (Sharon), grandchildren Clayton, and Chyanne (Kevin), great grandchildren Kenzie and Miller, siblings Chris, Elsie, Darlene (Wayne), and Arnie(Louise), nieces and nephews, and local waitresses he would hit on.

Gigi had a big belly, and an even bigger heart. He spent his free time telling dirty jokes, and trolling people on the internet. He always joked that the date of his death was stamped on his forehead the day he was born. I think they got the stamp wrong because he had more to do, more love to share, and more money to give to the WCLC. He worked road construction for most of his life and made many friends along the way.  Everyone who knew him has a story about him. He could make you laugh and cry in the same sentence. He was getting grumpy in his old age and would complain about his doctor not letting him drink 8 litres of water a day, or the local Walmart getting self-check-outs.

He loved to watch hockey and cheered for the Calgary Flames religiously.

He was the kindest individual and would give the shirt off his back to help people out. He will be greatly missed by many who knew him.

There’s no replacement for the love he gave his family.
