Halahuric, John Alvin 

February 4, 1935 – May 1, 2021

John Alvin Halahuric was born in Calgary, Alberta on February 4, 1935 alongside his twin brother who currently lives in Olds, Alberta.

The family moved to Cambria when they were 7 years old.  John went to school in Rosedale and then high school in Drumheller.  He had very fond memories of being there for that time.

John was an electrician on the railways working on trains, later on in his career he became a residential electrician working in homes and apartments.  John loved the outdoors and nature.  He was very good at gardening, painting with water colours and oil and he completed many works of art loving every minute of it.  In later years John and Joyce did a bit of gold panning, no big nuggets, just some dust.  John and Joyce had a camper van, they enjoyed camping and fishing together.  John loved his Country and Western music, he would often play guitar.

John married Joyce October 6, 2002, they were very happy during their life together.

John was diagnosed with Dementia, he was a resident of Continuing Care in 2020 and passed away May 1st, 2021 in Drumheller, Alberta at the age of 86 years.

John will be missed very much and has left many fond memories with his beloved wife Joyce.

John’s family would like to thank his Dr.’s, the nurses and staff at Continuing Care in Drumheller.  They were very good to John and took very good care of him while he was there.
