MANGONON,Diane Louise (nee Deslauriers)
It is with overwhelming sadness that we announce the passing of Diane Louise Mangonon on the morning of July 22, 2020.
At Diane’s passing, she was comforted by the love of her life, her best friend and husband of 44 years, Realistico Mangonon, who was at her side when she passed.
She was a wonderful wife, Mama, Nana, Tita, sister and friend to many people in her 71 years.
Diane is survived by her much-beloved and adoring family: Daughter Jennifer (Bob) Molina, their children, Michael, Jaiden (Austin) and Marcus Molina. Daughter Kristina (Drew) McGuire, their children Kate and Samuel. Daughter Carla DeKoning and her son Nicholas. Her brother, Doug (Shirl) Deslauriers and Wayne Deslauriers, his children Danielle (Josh) Deslauriers and David Deslauriers. Diane also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren and countless other loved ones.
She will be reunited with her parents, Frank and Mary Anne Deslauriers, and dear friends who passed before her.
She was always well cared for by her medical team, led by her primary physician of 22 years, Dr Benjamin Sader and his nurses, Maureen and Roberta of Valley Medical Clinic, Dr!George Vitale and his nurse, Shaheen of the Sunridge Nephrology clinic, and by Dr Kerri Johannson and her team at the SHC Pulmonary clinic.
The Mangonon, Molina, and McGuire Families would like to extend our most heartfelt thanks to the nursing and care staff at the Strathmore Hospital for their excellent and compassionate care, their kindness and support shown to our whole family during her stay. Also, a special thanks to Nicole and her coworkers of the Palliative Rural East Home Care team.
Due to Covid-19 and limited guest restrictions, a private service will be held on July 31st, 2020, at 11:00 am. All are invited to view the live stream video of the service and or send condolences via Diane’s obituary.
Please visit www.wheatlandfuneralhome.ca and look for the live stream link at the bottom of Diane’s obituary. Please note, the link will not appear till approx. 15 minutes before the start of the service.
Once the pandemic has passed, we plan to hold a Celebration of Life for Diane to properly honour her and the love she shared with all of us. It is a time of great sadness for those of us left behind, but we find comfort knowing she is free from the pain that she suffered for the past decade.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Diane’s honour may be made to the Wheatland & Area Hospice Society to help others find peace in their end of life journeys.
