Habing, Marlon Gerald
1973 – 2019
It’s with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Marlon Gerald Habing on December 5, 2019 at the age of 46 years. Marlon was born in Winnipeg, MB on February 20,1973.
Marlon will forever be remembered by his loving wife and best friend of 29 years, Becky, their precious children, Chad (Emily), J.C. (Bekah), Dalton (Sarah) and Lane. He will be dearly missed by his mom, Ruby Habing, sisters Barb(Gerald) Hildebrand, Gaylene (Dan) Johnson, Becky’s parents Max and Lorna Lane, Becky’s brothers Daymond (Amanda) Lane and Jesse (Valentine) Lane. Marlon loved his nieces and nephews, Paxton (Colin), Brock, Troy, Taren, Eric, Drew, Elythea, Aiden, Micky and Terry. Marlon now joins his father Chy, brother Bradley and will watch over us forever.
Marlon was a beloved member of our communities. He could often be found lending a helping hand to friends, neighbours and even strangers. In the oilfield he was well known for his hard work and easy going nature. The crew meals he prepared became famous with those he worked with.
Marlon loved doing things with Becky and the kids – especially if it involved outdoors, water and catching critters (Oh the critters!). His “hobby” farm was a reflection of his love of animals where he spent much of his free time. Marlon always had something up his sleeve and continually kept Becky on her toes.
We are devastated by his loss. A Celebration of his Life was held on Thursday December 12, 2019 at Hope Community Covenant Church at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Marlon’s memory may be made directly to S.T.A.R.S. Air Ambulance (Box 570, 1441 Aviation Park NE, Calgary, AB, T2E 8M7 or online at stars.ca)
