Seniors Access to resources streamlined

In 2020, seniors will have one number to call for information, advocacy and referrals regarding Alberta’s government services.
To support this, as of Jan. 2, staff and resources from the Office of the Seniors Advocate will be transferred to the Office of the Health Advocates.
According to the provincial Minister of Health Tyler Shandro, the government values seniors and is putting a high priority on increasing access to continuing care and other services they need.
“The Health Advocates serve all Albertans, and this change aligns with other health services for seniors, from prescription drug benefits to protection of persons in care,” he stated in a news release.
