Humphreys, Amy Suzanne
December 3, 1973 – January 11, 2019
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Amy in Denver, Colorado. Born in Calgary she spent her early years in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. A graduate of Bishop Grandin High School, Calgary, she excelled in the music program. Amy moved to Denver in 2001 where her beautiful children, Ethan and Claire were later born. They were her life’s greatest joy. Despite the challenges of cancer, she continued to be a loving and caring mother, warm and supportive friend and aspiring song writer and musician. She released two studio C.D.s under the name of Amy Kress.
She will be forever remembered for her wit, humour, love of animals and amazing musical talent. Her eyes gave the gift of sight to four people. Amy leaves behind to mourn her passing, children Ethan and Claire of Denver, parents Bryce and Darlene Humphreys of Strathmore, sister Leah Peters of Ft. St. John and a large extended family. She will be deeply missed by friends and musical fans around the world. Amy was predeceased by maternal grandparents Tony and Matilda Velker, parental grandparents Archie and Bernice Humphreys, and Uncle Pat McCarthy.
In her memory, please donate to an animal rescue organization of your choice and sign an organ donor card.
