The Strathmore Community Football Association (SCFA) Peewee Badgers took a coach bus down to Red Deer to scoop up their second loss on Oct. 13. The team is currently at 2-2-1. Now let’s get back to the game!
In the first quarter, the Hornets quickly moved the ball to the Badgers five-yard line and got a touchdown. They then got the extra point and the score was 7-0. Then, into the second quarter, the Hornets scored another two touchdowns, making the score 19-0.
Then in the third quarter, the Hornets scored two more touchdowns and the score was 31-0. They had two missed points after and the score remained 31-0.
On to the fourth quarter! Finally, Bodie (#24) got the touchdown! The next play was a screen pass to Grady Severtson (#16), who caught the pass but did not get very far as the Hornets defence obliterated Grady. But that did not discourage him or the team, as he got up like a champion.
The score was 36-6 at the end of the game. The Badgers shook hands and went to the dressing room with their heads held high!
