The Strathmore Thunder U13B team brought home gold this past weekend in a dominant display at their home tournament, held at the Strathmore Ag Grounds May 2-4. The event, which showcased 15 teams, was hosted in collaboration by three divisions of the Strathmore Thunder organization.

The U13B squad delivered an impressive undefeated run, playing five games of high-level fastpitch to clinch the championship. The team was praised not only for their skill and determination, but also for their exceptional sportsmanship and camaraderie on and off the field.

“This group of girls was tenacious, hardworking, kind, and truly embodied the spirit of the game,” said one of the moms. “They played their hearts out.”

Throughout the tournament, game MVPs were named for each of the team’s games – recognizing outstanding individual efforts in a sport that thrives on teamwork. The MVPs were Harper Pierson, Khloe Cameron, Hayden Cromwell, Madilynn Shuman and Lyric Rapuano.

The weekend was a resounding success, thanks to the support and dedication of the athletes, their families, and the many parent volunteers who helped organize and run the tournament.

“A huge thank you goes out to everyone who made this event possible,” organizers said. “Without our volunteers and supportive community, weekends like this wouldn’t happen.”
