It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Donna Louise Specht (Sailer) who went home to her Lord on May 23, 2025.

Donna was born July 19, 1944 in Trochu to Emma and Henry Sailer. She was the youngest of six children and raised on their family farm outside of Huxley, AB. 

She was married in Trochu in 1963 where she had two daughters; Faye and Wanita.  She then farmed in Huxley for 3 years.  Her and her little family relocated to Bluffton to own and operate a Dairy Farm, it was during these years that she had two more children; Haldon and Tammy. In 1984 she moved to Morrin and stayed a short time and then on to Trochu where she met the love of her life Dan Specht.  In 1986 Donna moved her two kids that were still residing at home to Carbon where her and Dan got married in 1990. In the fall of 1997 after the youngest daughter had ventured to college Donna and Dan settled down in Strathmore. Where she resided until her passing after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Left to cherish her memory is her Husband; Dan Specht, four children; Faye (Johnny), Wanita (Mike), Haldon (Nicole), and Tammy (Duncan).  Her beloved grandchildren Jeff (Chele-Mae), Rashel, Tina (Erron), Hailey, Keegan, Delsin and Westin. Her two step daughters Susan (Terry) and Heather (Sean). Her step-grandchildren Wes (Bernadette), Stacee, Jessica (Jamin), Evan (Kate) and Avery (Kaden).  And nine wonderful great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.  

Donna was predeceased by her parents; Henry and Emma, all five of her siblings; Ray, Irene,  Alvina, Jake, and Jim; nephew Brian; and step son Robert.  

Memorial Service for Donna will be held Thursday May 29, 2025 at The Strathmore Alliance Church at 2:00 pm. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Strathmore Handi Bus Association.
