Mom and Dad resided in Calgary for most of their married life. While raising their 4 children, Mom worked at various jobs, notably the #1 Co-op and the Hudson’s Bay downtown. After a move to Kelowna in 1982, Mom enjoyed her position at Marks and Spencers, or “Marks and Sparks” as she affectionately called it.
When in Kelowna Mom and Dad were able to retire and spend many years travelling south for the winter, calling Arizona and Nevada home.
Mom had various hobbies, sewing and beadwork to name a few, and she always loved a good deal. Many Saturdays were spent at garage sales and thrift stores.
After 38 years in Kelowna, Mom and Dad decided to reside in Strathmore to be closer to their family. We are so thankful for the time we were able to create new memories with them here.
A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the Lord of All Lutheran Church (Strathmore), at 2:00 p.m. with a luncheon to follow.
A special and sincere thank you to the wonderful staff at AgeCare Sagewood for their compassion and care to both Mom and Dad while they resided there.
