It is with profound sadness, we announce the passing of Brenda Ann Knight, who passed away suddenly on March 4, 2025, at age 58. She is survived by her partner Boyd, mother Gail, sister Karen, brother Murray, and many relatives and friends. Brenda was predeceased by her father, Fred.  
Brenda was a loving partner, a cherished friend, and an inspiration to all who knew her. She always enjoyed her Timmy’s ice cap in hand and extended visits with friends. She was known for her incredible kind nature, love of Halloween, cows and farming, decorating events, and extensive volunteer work in the community. 
Throughout her life, Brenda achieved many milestones, including serving as Wheatland County Councillor for two terms, serving on the Chestermere-Strathmore UCP Constituency Association Board, receiving The Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal (Alberta), receiving the Limousin Leader’s Junior Leadership Award, and serving as the Alberta Limousin Association Limousin Princess and Queen. She served as a Board of Director at Strathmore & District Agriculture Society and Secretary of Strathmore and District Rural Fire Fighters Associations. Brenda was a dedicated Calgary Stampede volunteer for Aggie Days and First Nations Committee, decorating the wagons for the parade. She attended Olds College for the Agriculture Mechanical program and was a member and leader with Crowfoot Beef & Heifer Club 4H. She deeply valued her involvement with the Canadian Legion and Ladies Auxiliary. 
Her passion for helping others and her generous spirit will be dearly missed.
A memorial service celebrating Brenda’s life will be held on Saturday April 12, 2025, at 2 p.m. at M&M Drilling, 243079 Range Rd 250, Wheatland County.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Brenda’s honour to Strathmore District Health Foundation.
