It is with broken hearts that we announce the loss of our precious daughter Sarah Jade Hoff in a motor vehicle accident outside of Taber, Sept 28th, 2025.  

Erich and Tammy were blessed with Sarah’s arrival on April 17, 1999, fourteen days late but worth the wait.  Sarah was born in Calgary and brought home to Gleichen, AB where her family farms.  Sarah attended school in Gleichen and Strathmore.  She earned her Bachelor of Agriculture from Lethbridge College and was enjoying the start of her career with Richardson Pioneer in Bow Island.

Hockey played a huge role in Sarah’s upbringing, she was able to forge many strong bonds through sports, although she was known as a bit of a goon both on and off the ice.  She enjoyed all things artistic and dabbled and often excelled in many.  

Sarah was a spitfire, full of sass and quick wit.  She was unapologetically authentic. She was smart and so funny and definitely demanded her spotlight.

Sarah is survived by her parents Tammy and Erich; Brother Simon; Great Grandmothers Corrie and Merle; Grandparents Vern, Debbie, William and Patricia; Aunts and Uncles David (Kira (Ryan), Declan) Eldon and Ellie (Carlee, Lonnie, Janelle) Paul, Mike and Kathy (Rachel, Logan), Will and Brianne (Weston, Walker), Kate and James; and Aunties Dorrit, Brenda and Fiona. Sarah was blessed with many more very special Aunts, Uncles and Cousins who will all miss her greatly. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, October 13th, 2025, at the Hussar Community Centre at 2:00 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to The Alberta Children’s Hospital or Stars Air Ambulance, both charities are close to our hearts.
