Norman was born on December 20 1928 on the Family Farm in Rockyford AB.  On June 19 1951 he married Mary Josephine Riley of Three Hills AB and they started their life together, sharing it for 65 years.  With his family at his side, Norman passed away peacefully on January 21 2025, at the age of 96.  Norman was a loving Husband and caring Father, Grandfather, great Grandfather and great great Grandfather.  Norman was pre-deceased by his wife, Mary Josephine on October 20 2016 and is survived by seven children; Linda (Ian) McGillis, Michael (Nettie) Hendricks, Daniel (Kathryn) Hendricks, Anna (Glen) Tucker, Rita (Steven) Eeles, Donna (Kevin) Eeles and Barbara Hendricks (John).  He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; Catherine, Terry, Scott, Brett, Lindsay, Garrett, Christie, Evret, Bradley, Justin, Amanda, Sheldon, Chelsea, Rebecca and Joshua, twenty-five great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, one Sister-in-Law, Gwen Riley and many nieces and nephews.  Norman was pre-deceased by his parents; Joseph and Annie Hendricks, one daughter; Catherine Hendricks, one grandson; Jason Ryan Hendricks and three sisters; Rita Hendricks, Marie Brosseau and Jeanette Dietrich.

A prayer service will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 7:00 PM in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (221-4 Ave Strathmore AB).  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday January 30, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (221-4 Ave Strathmore AB).  The Family thanks the Staff of AgeCare Sagewood Community for all their kindness to Norman and their personal and medical support over the last nine years and especially the last week.
