Terry Marlene Heather passed away peacefully at her residence in Seasons High River on September 27, 2025. 

Terry was born January 19, 1950, to Hap and Ethel Heather. She grew up on the family farm East of Milo, taking part in all the activities of a farm kid at the time. Terry loved her horses, the family’s dogs, sports, swimming, playing with the Deitz neighbours, and spending time with her grandparents.

At 17 Terry left home to pursue beauty school in Calgary. Terry had a long and very successful career doing hair in many locations, owning salons in both Milo and Strathmore over the years, and was known among many ladies as the “only hairdresser who can do my hair.” Terry closed shop and retired in Strathmore for many years before moving “home” to Milo in 2019.

Terry is survived by her beloved son Danny (Kelly) Westgard, grandchildren Jase and Tori, sister Brenda (Len) Orlita and children Brittany and Tate, and brother Warren (Penny) Heather and children Russel (Jackie), Deanna, and Tracy (Curtis). She was predeceased by parents Alvin “Hap” and Ethel Heather.

Inurnment with the family will be held at the O’ Perfect Peace Cemetery October 25th at 12:30pm.  A memorial service will follow at 2:00pm at the Milo Community Hall, which all are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Alzheimer’s Society of Alberta https://alzheimer.ca/ab/en in honour of Terry.
