Larry was born in Windsor, ON, to Nora and Ulysses Dupuis, on August 31, 1944. He was the youngest of four children, with two sisters (Angie and Carol) and one brother (Don). Larry graduated from the University of Windsor with a Bachelor of Commerce and attended the University of British Columbia, where he studied Urban Land Economics.

Larry spent his professional life working in Commercial Real Estate, and even in semi-retirement was always active, training dogs, fixing or building something new, or lending a hand to his friends and neighbours. Larry loved the outdoors and whenever he could, he spent his free time fishing, hunting, playing golf, training dogs, and laughing with friends or family around a bonfire. He was always full of wisecracks and laughter and had an intense but charming personality.

Larry is survived by his three sons and their spouses, Matthew and Roberta Dupuis, Jonathan Dupuis and Naren Chun, and Benjamin Dupuis and Marissa Poirier, and their mother Rochelle Bensette; as well as a grandson Alex Dupuis. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Don and Laurel Dupuis.
