David Bexte appointed to environment committee

Conservative Member of Parliament for Bow River, David Bexte, has been appointed to the Standing Committee on the Environment.
“This committee is a central pillar of the Liberal’s plan to use climate alarmism, centralized control, and net-zero ideology to hijack Canadian industries,” said Bexte. “I won’t let environmental policy be used as a smokescreen to strangle development, kill jobs, or override provincial jurisdiction. I’m going to stand up for Alberta and for the builders of this country.”
Bexte emphasized that environmental stewardship and economic growth are not in conflict.
“We don’t need lectures from disconnected Ottawa bureaucrats. We need policies that respect the land, support livelihoods, and deliver results. I’m here to push back against radical ideology and bring common sense back to the table – grounded in local experience and practical reality,” he said.
Bexte was optimistic that with the renewed, larger Conservative opposition, he and his colleagues will be on a strong footing to hold the Liberal Party to account.
His appointment marks a serious effort to ensure common-sense, pro-development voices are heard on one of the most closely watched committees of the Liberal regime – and that Alberta continues to play a leading role in shaping Canada’s environmental future.
