It was with deep sadness we announce the passing of Wanda on June 10, 2025 in her home at Sagewood Strathmore with her daughters and grand daughter by her side at the age of 100.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons Dan(Brenda, Dan jr), Jack (Molly and Emma), daughters Lynn (Christine), Lee (Bailee), grandchildren, great grand children, great great grand children and friends.

Wanda is predeceased by her husband Jack, son Darrell, son Guy, son in law Ron, grandchild Duane, her sisters and brothers.  Wanda was the last remaining child of Charlotte and Fred Wegener.

Wanda was born on the Roses farm east of Strathmore on May 26, 1925. She married Jack Coldwell on July 5, 1951. 

She lived her life for her family, loved her home on the farm north of Strathmore until she moved to the Wheatland Lodge in 2018.

Wanda was very involved in the community from sports, walkathons, fundraisers and especially being a member of the Royal Canadian Legion #10 for over 50 years   and the Legion Ladies Auxiliary for over 70 years. 

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 22 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #10, Strathmore, AB at 1:00 p.m.

We would like everyone to join us afterwards for lunch and memories.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made directly to the Royal Canadian Legion #10 or an animal shelter of your choice.
