It is with profound sadness that we announce that mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Zlata Toth passed away on December 25, 2023 at the age of 85. She was re-united with her husband Janos (John) who passed away in 1993 in Creston.

Zlata was born in Croatia but immigrated to Calgary in 1970 with her daughter Yasna. Zlata was educated in Croatia and learned to be a baker in Canada. She had a passion for cooking and baking, often just to give to others. She also loved gardening and all animals.

She will be cherished and missed by her family, daughter Yasna Dubetz (Lyle), grandchildren Dakota Dubetz (Ashlyn & great-grandson Duke), Brady Speirs (Josh), Dalton Dubetz and cousin Slava Klobucar (Jim Hazen). She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her in Strathmore, Calgary, Creston and Croatia.

As per Zlata’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.
