RCMP respond to male in distress at Kinsman Lake

On June 6, at approximately 7:10 p.m., Strathmore RCMP were dispatched to Kinsman Lake to a report of a male who was struggling in the lake and disappeared below the surface. Bystanders attempted to render assistance, however, were unsuccessful.  

STARS Air Ambulance was dispatched and circled the lake for up to 45 minutes to provide medical assistance, but unfortunately the body was not located and the situation was deemed a recovery.

RCMP and Strathmore Fire Department attended with the assistance of divers but were unsuccessful in locating the male due to light and visibility issues.

The body was recovered the next day. No further information was provided as of press time.
