Ronald Felix Corbiell, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 3rd, 2024, in Strathmore, Alberta with his wife of 61 years, Bea, at his side. He was born on January 10th, 1939, in Calgary, Alberta to loving parents who instilled in him a strong work ethic and sense of duty towards others.

Ron’s life was defined by his unwavering commitment to his family and community. After marrying the love of his life Beatrice (nee Lebel), he devoted himself wholeheartedly to providing for and nurturing their five sons – Mike (Rhonda), Don, Brian (Michele), Allan (Karen) and Patrick (Colleen).

Ron spent his entire life working in the Oil and Gas Industry.  He grew up in Cluny before moving to Standard in 1962.  He was an active member of the community and always volunteering.  Ron volunteered in several areas, but he was especially fond of his time spent working with Project H.O.P.E.  In 2015 he received the “Dr. Garry McKinnon, Champion of Children Award” from Project H.O.P.E.  Ron was a longtime member of St. Rita’s parish in Rockyford.

Ron was an avid reader and could go through many western books in a day.  His other interests included the rodeo, coaching hockey, golfing and hunting.  He was a proud father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  Ron had a witty sense of humor that he has passed on to all his children.  Ron is survived by his wife, 5 sons, 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.  Ron will forever be missed and so fondly remembered.

Ron was pre-deceased by his parents, Armand and Amy, and his sister Adele Rougeau.  He is survived by his brother Armand (Mary Ellen) Corbiell and brother-in-law Martial (Carole) Rougeau.
