Linda Fox of Calgary Alberta, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Southwood Hospice on Monday, November 27, 2023 at the age of 74 years.

She was the loving mother of Timothy (Karen) Syroid of Langley, BC, Tammy (David) Syroid of Surrey, BC

Jennifer (Jenna) Fox of Calgary, AB; grandchildren, Kaitlin and Ella Syroid and will also be lovingly remembered by her siblings, Albert (Elaine) Therrien, Tom (Karen) Therrien and Dennis Therrien. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Donat and Ruby Therrien and sister, Beverly.

Linda was born in Brandon, Manitoba on May 8, 1949. At a young age, Linda moved to Alberta where she married and became a mother of three children. Linda attended school for hairdressing and went on to own a barber shop in Innisfail, Alberta. She later moved to Kamloops, BC where she worked in a variety of different roles. Although Linda suffered from chronic pain for several years, she was never one to complain or ask for help. She was fiercely independent and took pride in taking care of herself.

Linda cared for the people in her life by cooking and baking and she always made enough food to feed an army. Over the years, Linda welcomed a number of her children’s friends into her home, sometimes for a meal and sometimes for a month. Linda was also an animal lover who never could turn away a stray. Her calm demeaner and consistent care meant that any pet in the home kept close to her. The people closest to Linda will fondly remember spending countless evenings chatting with her over a hot cup of tea.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda’s memory would be gratefully received by The Alberta SPCA.
