On March 22, 2022 Alva Jean, known as Jean, Quinton, loving wife, mother, grandmother, soon to be great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend passed away peacefully knowing she was dearly loved. Jean is survived by her husband Lee, her children Sharon Starker (Brett), Patricia Quinton-Campbell (David), and Rob Quinton (Nicole), her grandchildren Devin (Amanda), Colton, Jeffrey, Erin, Alyssa, and Madison, her sister June Bulmer, her sisters-in-law Peggy, Marilyn, Shirley, her brother-in-law Glen, numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, cousins and friends.

Jean was known for her volunteer spirit wherever she lived, including having been named citizen of the year in Gibbons in recognition of her contribution to the community, her willingness to include everyone, and her ability to talk to anyone. Jean loved to be surrounded by family and kept in touch with friends and family near and far.

Jean was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Edna, her brother Robert Beckman, sisters Olivia Herron, Alice Buettner, Helen Coffey, Evelyn Leighton, Lillian Richards, brother-in-law Melvin Hunter and their spouses.

Jean will be greatly missed and always remembers in the hearts of those who knew her. A heart felt thank you and appreciation goes out to the doctor and staff at Sagewood care facility in Strathmore who cared for Jean over the last months.
