Frank John Patterson passed away peacefully at Agecare Sagewood in Strathmore, Alberta on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at the age of 90 years. Frank was born on January 4, 1932 and raised in the Redland/Rosebud area. He farmed his entire life and was a UFA agent in Rosebud and Rockyford for many years until he retired at the age of 71. Frank received the Melvin Jones Fellow award for his 56 years of service with the Rosebud Lions Club for his volunteerism and community engagement. He was also recognized by the International Association of Lions Clubs as a lifetime member. Frank and Irene moved to the Strathmore Lodge in 2018 and made many new and lasting friendships. We would like to thank the management and staff at the lodge for the care and consideration Frank received and that Irene continues to receive.  In 2020 Frank resided at Sagewood until his recent passing.  We would like to acknowledge and thank the staff on Dawson Lake floor for the excellent care that he received. Frank is survived by Irene, his wife and life partner of 68 years, his daughters, Jane [Garry] and Cindy [Ward].  He is also survived by his brother Jim [Marge], brother in law Don (Shirley), sisters in law Vi, Marie, Faye and Betty. Frank was predeceased by his son Thomas, brothers George, Joe, and David as well as sisters, Rose and Blanche.  He was also predeceased by brothers in law Harold Legge and John Hazelton. At Frank’s request a private family ceremony will take place at a later date.
