BRAY, Alexander James “Jim”

BRAY,Alexander James “Jim”

Jim was predeceased by his parents, Phemie and John Bray; and his wife, Edna Bray.

He is survived by his two daughters, Trina (Rod) Regehr and Lana Bray; six grandchildren, Zane (Angela) Schultz, Austin (Dakota) Schultz, Ethan (Kaylee) Schultz, Darby Regehr, Hannah Regehr, Reid Regehr; and three great grandchildren.

Jim was born in Manitoba, and at the young age of 13, moved to Alberta in search of opportunities and change.

Alberta provided Jim with many different careers; most involving agriculture. Many of Jim’s hobbies required wranglers and a cowboy hat, for he enjoyed saddle bronc, team roping and cattle penning. However, Jim’s greatest passion was hooking a team of horses, and then passing this loving and knowledge onto the next generation.

He and Edna Schwartzenberger married on November 16, 1963. They later had two daughters that they raised together on their family farm north of Strathmore, Alberta.

Both Jim and Edna took great pride in the farm and family they established. They also took great honour in their friends and forever cherished memories shared with them.

Jim passed peacefully at home with the comfort of his two daughters by his side.

Jim’s family would like to thank Doctors Emile and Maria Muller, Strathmore EMS, and the doctors, nurses, and staff at Strathmore Hospital for their outstanding care.

A celebration of Jim’s took place on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Nightingale Hall at 11:30 am.
