Witt, Herman Peter
Witt,Herman Peter
October 9, 1936 – January 4, 2021
Herman passed away peacefully in his sleep while he resided in Bethany Care Home located in Airdrie Alberta. Dad was welcomed into the arms of Jesus.
Heartfelt thanks for all the warm and caring support he received from Bethany Care Home. Words can not express our gratitude for the love and compassion the staff provided to him.
Born in Humbolt, Saskatchewan then moved to Alberta and BC where he married his first wife and they raised a family of four children. He lived a busy life working mostly in construction and real estate. Herman had an entrepreneurial spirit and was not not afraid to take on new business opportunities. He enjoyed connecting with people and was never shy to shake hands with a stranger.
He loved salmon fishing on the BC coast and could never get enough of his canned salmon.
He spent his last working and retirement years living in Strathmore, Alberta with his present wife Marleen Bergmann, prior to his move to Bethany Care Home. He enjoyed volunteering in church events.
He leaves behind his wife Marleen, brothers and sisters, his four children, Mark, Dave (Kim), Brenda (Gray) and Roxanne. Along with 5 grandchildren, Sheldon (Bethal), Brandon, Devan (Heather), Jacob and Trinity. Two great grandchildren, Juda and Elliana.
