Three local youth win scholarships

Wheatland District 4-H Council recently presented scholarships to three local former 4-H members.
The scholarships are for $500 each and were once again generously sponsored by Carseland Nutrien.
Recipients include Hailey Kenney, a seven-year member of the Rockyford Beef Club. Kenney is pursuing a degree in education at the University of Lethbridge.
Another recipient is Ashton Nail, a nine-year member of the Hussar Multi-Club. Nail is enrolled in the Faculty of Agriculture and Bioresources at the University of Saskatchewan.
The third recipient is Koal Sammons. Sammons is a nine-year member of the Hussar Multi-Club, and he is also enrolled in the Faculty of Agriculture and Bioresources at the University of Saskatchewan.
Wheatland District is comprised of 4-H members from clubs in Strathmore, Rockyford, Standard, Hussar, Arrowwood, Cheadle and Crowfoot.
