Strathmore Wheatland Wellness Project can get you connected
By Megan Stefanich Strathmore Wheatland Wellness Project
There are plenty of reasons why someone might be looking for support. If you ever need guidance figuring out a situation, the Strathmore Wheatland Wellness Resource Project (SWWRP) may be useful for you. This non-crisis website and phone-line connects residents of Strathmore and Wheatland County with local initiatives and sources of support.
While the focus of the project is mental health resources, SWWRP can point you in the right direction no matter what type of support you may need, be it local programming for children, youth and young adults, addiction support groups, resources for pregnant and new moms and more. For example, an individual reached out to us, looking for support throughout her pregnancy and to prepare for the changes coming after birth. She expressed feelings of worry and needed to connect with someone who could help her prepare for parenthood and the adjustments ahead. We were able to hear her concerns and connect her with a peer support program that fit her needs.
If you, too, need help finding support, are experiencing isolation, or just struggling in general, visit our website www.swwellness.ca or call our non-crisis line at 403-962-0167 to see what we can do for you. You deserve support.
